James Wilson GCSE Science Tutoring: Terms and Conditions 

Prior to the first lesson with any student, I require a 15 - 30 minutes online (Zoom or Meetings) discussion with student and at least 1 parent or carer to assess student's expectations and to agree a plan for the lesson(s); to assess the student’s learning style, (this can change from subject to subject), agree times, days, and dates.

Online or face to face classes details: 

·        Classes last 50 – 60 minutes with written “homework” set for the student(s) that should take no more than 30 minutes and needs to be completed within 2 days. There is then a 15 - 20 minute follow up lesson online or telephone lesson 1 day later to give student feedback.

·        Pre-lesson materials to be printed and brought by me or printed by the student before lesson time.

·        I will either call the parent / carer to update on the student’s progress after every lesson (for one off lessons), or after every 3rd lesson for multiple lessons.

·        When possible, with students and parental agreement, I will arrange safe experiments the student can run during a lesson to help cement understanding and remembering knowledge.

GCSE Lesson Costs:  

The cost of a single GCSE Science Lesson is £35.00.

3 consecutive lessons can be purchased at £90.00.

Payment made by bank transfer needs to be made no less than 2 days prior to lesson.

24-hour notice is required to cancel or postpone a lesson to avoid charge. Classes cancelled within 24 hours will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
